Plogging is an activity that combines jogging with picking up litter, promoting not only physical health but also environmental awareness. This movement has inspired communities around the world to take part in keeping public spaces clean.
One of the most visible benefits of plogging is a cleaner environment. Maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility that contributes to a healthier way of living. Beyond its environmental impact, plogging also offers physical benefits, as it involves additional movements — such as bending, lifting, and carrying — compared to regular jogging, making it a more engaging form of exercise.
Before starting the plogging activity, each team was provided with cleaning equipment, including gloves, litter pickers, and trash bags. The gloves helped protect participants’ hands from sharp objects such as broken glass. Each group was also assigned specific waste categories to collect, including plastic cups, paper, batteries, and non-recyclable waste.
